Dr. Purak Parikh, MD was born in southern New Jersey to parents of Indian descent. He then completed his medical school education at Dartmouth/Geisel School of Medicine where he received the Arnold P. Gold Humanism in Medicine award and was a member of the Mosenthal Surgical Society. He then completed his ophthalmology training at the University of Pennsylvania/Scheie Eye Institute where he was awarded the Resident Teaching Award. He completed a fellowship in cornea, external disease and refractive surgery at the University of Michigan/Kellogg Eye Institute.
In addition to his medical and surgical practice, Dr. Parikh has been a former President of the New Hampshire Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons. He has authored book chapters and research manuscripts in the fields of corneal transplantation (DMEK, DSAEK), and cataract surgery. Additionally, Dr. Parikh has given lectures and moderated sessions at national conferences regarding the topics of LASIK, PRK, cataract surgery, keratoconus, and corneal transplantation.
In his spare time, Dr. Parikh enjoys woodworking, tennis, and hiking the Whites with his wife, Caitlin. They share the joy of raising two children. He is excited to call the Granite State his home and looks forward to meeting you.
