Ophthalmic Technicians

Nashua Eye Associates, P.A. is currently looking for Full-time Ophthalmic Technicians to assist our busy practice. The Ophthalmic Technician assists the Ophthalmologists in preparing patients for their appointments by:

  • Take medical/ocular histories and entering them into our EMR system.
  • Performing routine and diagnostic tests such as visual acuity, lensometry, refraction, VF testing, and OCT imaging.
  • Assist the doctors with patient examinations and treatment.
  • Refill prescriptions through an ERX system.
  • Respond promptly to messages from patients, other doctors, and pharmacists.
  • Maintain and clean exam rooms and equipment.
  • Other responsibilities as needed.

The requirements of the position are as follows:

  • You must have reliable transportation and the flexibility to work in any of our three offices.
  • Candidate must have a track record of dependability, including good attendance, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work cooperatively with coworkers from all departments.
  • Proficiency in using a computer and basic office equipment.
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in ophthalmology, optometry or another medical setting is a plus.

Optometric Technicians

Nashua Eye Associates, P.A. is currently looking for Full-time Optometric Technicians to assist our busy practice. The Optometric Technician assists the Optometrist in preparing patients for their appointments by:

  • Taking patient histories.
  • Patient workups.
  • Performing tests as required by the physicians.
  • Assisting with the fitting and sales of contact lenses.
  • Educating patients on proper use and care of their contacts.
  • Other responsibilities as needed.

The requirements of the position are as follows:

  • You must have reliable transportation and the flexibility to work in any of our three offices.
  • Candidate must have a track record of dependability, including good attendance, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work cooperatively with coworkers from all departments.
  • Proficiency in using a computer and basic office equipment.
