Laura Voicu, MD

Laura Voicu, MD, is a glaucoma and cornea surgeon and comprehensive ophthalmologist. She completed fellowship training in Glaucoma and Cornea at UCLA. Dr. Voicu completed her ophthalmology residency training at the Duke Eye Center, where she was then elected to the chief residency for an additional year to supervise the residency program and teach cataract surgery. Her specialty includes medical management of glaucoma, laser treatments, and a range of glaucoma surgery options, including minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS). Dr. Voicu has an interest in ocular surface disease and dry eye, and particularly in managing this condition in patients with glaucoma. Dr Voicu is passionate about cataract surgery. She completed college at Wesleyan University where she also completed a master’s degree in molecular biophysics, and medical school at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.

Dr. Voicu has multiple peer reviewed publications in ophthalmology and is passionate about delivering the highest standard of evidence-based care. She has traveled internationally to lecture and deliver eye care to underserved populations. She has worked with ophthalmology technology companies to improve patient education and to educate surgeons about the use of minimally invasive glaucoma surgery techniques and dry eye techniques. She is board-certified and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the New England Ophthalmological Society. She is accepting new patients at the Nashua, Milford and Hudson offices and will perform surgery at the Nashua Eye Surgery Center. Her outside interests include spending time with her family and anything outdoors.
