Oftentimes, patients wonder what does my doctor do when he is not in the office. For me that could take on many possibilities. I like to play golf and help with the outside activities at my wife’s and my house such as taking care of the grass and pool. My three most time consuming activities outside of the office include medical mission trips, my Church ( St. Philips in Nashua ), and keeping up on the latest technologies in my specialty, ophthalmology. I have done medical mission trips which include clinics and surgery for 27 years. Mostly these trips have been to the poorer countries of South America and the Caribbean. However I have made trips to Eastern Europe as well. I have been on the Parish Council of St. Philip Greek Orthodox Church off and on for decades and I am presently 2nd Vice President. As for keeping up with technology, it is a passion of mine. I ensure that the technologies that I adopt are beneficial for the patients in that the technologies will advance their care. In today’s world this is a never ending task.
